  • JOB OVERVIEW: Provides/assists the direct nursing care of all patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: Department of Emergency Services or Critical Care
  • RESPONSIBLE TO: Unit Manager/Supervisor/Charge Nurse/Registered Nurse

    • PREREQUISITES: MA-C WA state required license in-hand, BLS certification, Able to communicate effectively in English.
    • GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Good interpersonal communication skills in a diverse population, Demonstrates ability to learn tasks and handle responsibility, Demonstrates ability to follow direction/instructions, Demonstrates skill in communication and customer relationships in a diverse population, Ability to communicate and work effectively with the physical and emotional developments of all age groups, Complete HCA certification within 60 days of hire and maintain this certification throughout employment with VMC, Demonstrates ability to conform to Valley Values which are teamwork, respect, community centered, compassion, quality & innovation.

        • Unit Specific Information
        • Provides/assists in the direct nursing care of all patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
        • Transport/escort patients, Cleans and stocks treatment areas or patient rooms, Cleans all used instruments and equipment before CS pickup, Restocks supplies and linen, Cleans equipment, Assists in keeping work areas clean and orderly.
        • Cleans and restocks carts specific to the unit; Cast, OD, Burn, Eye, Pelvic, Trauma, Difficult Intubation, Line Cart.

          • WA: MA-C required in hand to submit (any other MA cert does not work)
          • EPIC Exp Required
          • Prefer 2 years of Critical Care Experience
          • Prefer 1 year of Trauma Level Experience
          • Covid - not required
          • Flu - vaccine, Medical or Religious exemption required (declinations are NOT accepted)
