Weekly Pay Range - $1865 To $2072 Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Step Down Job Duration: 13 weeks, with an option to extend to 26 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid WA RN or Compact RN license required Certifications: BCLS and ACLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract. Job Description: - Position available in the Clinical Decision Unit, handling observation, general medical, post-op PCI, post-op general and gynecological surgery, short-stay inpatient, extended outpatient stay, GI bleed, SBO, ESRD, CHF, COPD, chronic bi-pap/C-pap, and stable CIWA cases. - Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 during night shifts. - Weekend coverage required every other weekend. - Average daily census of the unit is 40. - Limited isolation patients; no chemo, no peritoneal dialysis, no acute bi-pap, no hemodynamically unstable pre-op, and no post-op requiring step-down level of care. - Floating required among similar units based on skill set. - Completion of orientation is required, consisting of 40 non-billable hours. - Pre-start modules to be completed; on average this requires 16 hours of non-billable time. Time spent on modules is self-reported and recorded in work transcripts. - If communication devices are required for the assignment, they will be supplied or reimbursed. Additional Expectations: - Commitment to working 3 out of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. - Must provide references covering one year of employment within the last 3 years. - Adherence to all floating policies and willingness to adapt to patient care needs across various units is essential.
