Job Description:
Overview Virginia Mason is seeking a BE/BC Neurologist with
fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology. Neuromuscular
would be a bonus. Responsibilities The Outpatient Neurology
Department at Virginia Mason consists of 11 Neurologists who care
for patients that cover the spectrum of all neurologic disease. As
part of the Neurosciences Institute, we integrate care and are
co-located with neurosurgery, neuropsychology, neuro-physical
medicine and rehabilitation, and the inpatient neuro-hospitalist
service. We pride ourselves in creating a collegial and enjoyable
work environment that includes bi-monthly journal club,
neuro-radiology conference, neurovascular conference,
neuro-oncology tumor board, and research with affiliation with the
Benaroya Research Institute. As a teaching hospital, we have
Internal Medicine residents that rotate, as well as, an affiliation
with the University of Washington with rotating medical students at
our downtown location. Resources include a PhD research program
manager, clinical pharmacist, RN case management, and a social
worker. This position is outpatient call only. Call is shared
between all of the Neurologists. Qualifications
- BE/BC in Neurology
- Fellowship training in Neurophysiology or Neuromuscular
preferred
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State
of WA
- Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed
for specific practice
- Ability to read EMG or EEG
