- Certification Details
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
or an equivalent registry as a Rad Tech and CT Tech; required
within one year of hire.
- Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist Certification
through the Washington State Department of Health
- BLS Certification
- Job Details
- The technologist is to efficiently operate diagnostic imaging
equipment for the purpose of medical diagnosis and treatment,
maintaining quality treatment to patients.
- Includes producing quality radiographs of designated portions
of the human body.
- Maintain accurate records of the radiographs.
- Distribute reports of examination findings to the patient's
provider.
- Responsible for communication with radiologists, physicians,
patients, patient's families and other persons.
- Perform relief and/or other project duties as required.
- Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- At least one year of RT experience, preferred.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of radiographic equipment and
proper care for this equipment.
- Working knowledge of all basic and special DI procedures
performed at the facility.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt exam to patient care problems as
they arise.
- Proficient in current technology, including Microsoft Office
and the ability to learn and operate PACS/RIS.
- Schedule Information
- Responsible for the expedient care and compassionate treatment
of each patient.
- Attendance at department meetings and special meetings is
required.
- Ability to work on-call shifts as assigned.
- Unit Specific Information
- Occasional patient scheduling for Mammography, X-Ray, CT, MRI,
and ultrasound.
- Utilize sound sterile technique to prevent contamination and/or
cross contamination.
- Participate in the department's Quality Assurance program and
perform assigned Quality Control tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of the exam rooms as part of infection
control.
- Enter patient information into the RIS.
- Special projects and other related duties as assigned.
