Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prepared Foods Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of team members to achieve exceptional customer service and sales goals.Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members to ensure efficient and effective department operations.
  • Work with our Prepared Foods Trainer to build and sustain a high-performance team, minimizing turnover and maximizing productivity.
  • Training and Development
    • Assist in training new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
    • Department Operations
      • Ensure all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated to maintain a visually appealing and customer-friendly environment.
      • Open and close the department according to established procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
      • Customer Service
        • Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
        • Respond promptly to customer needs and questions, providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.Requirements
          • Experience
            • 12+ months of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
            • Skills and Abilities
              • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
              • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and team-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with Team Members and customers.
              • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures, with the ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
              • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.Working Conditions
                • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
                • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
                • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
                • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
                • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
                • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
                • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
                • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
                • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
                • May require use of ladders.
